Event: "Disney On Ice: Princess Classics" Girl Scout Night
Date: Fri., Jan. 8, 2010
Location: XL Center, Hartford, CT
Time: Board the bus at New Milford Stop & Shop parking lot at 5:15 p.m. (please eat before then - Neat snacks only on the bus - NO POPCORN!) Return time is approximately 10:30 p.m.
Price: $30 per person
Price includes bus transportation to and from the XL Center, ticket to the show and souvenir patch. Leaders must have "Out & About" and send in a Troop Trip Application. Don't forget your parent permission slips, etc.

Sweetheart Dance - Feb. 5, 2010
This is an annual New Milford Girl Scouts girls night out with your "Best Man" (Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Brother, etc. - no escorts under 18 and no female escorts). Tickets go on sale Jan. 2010 - $12 per person. Go to the Events page for more information on this and many other events! Or click on the hearts to download a pdf flyer.

Valentines For Vets - Jan. 16, 2010
This is a yearly event sponsored by the DAR. Troops make valentines and the DAR delivers them to recovering and disabled veterans at the Rocky Hill VA Hospital. Click on the iamge to download the flyer:

LEADERS: Cookie packets have been distributed to leaders. Order taking begins Jan. 8, 2010 and ends Feb. 5 with catch up sales until March 25. Delivery begins March 6. Please contact Gerri with any questions.
Variety Show - April 9, 2010!
"Broadway The Girl Scouts Way"!
This annual fundraising event is open to all Girl Scouts! Perform as a troop, small groups or individual scouts! Any act having to do with Broadway is welcome - must be respectful and family appropriate.
Sign up your act any time by emailing Joyce. Tickets will go on sale in 2010 - check at future leaders meetings for more information.
Leaders Meeting: Fri., Jan. 22 @ 7:00 pm
Get the latest news and meet up with other local leaders at the Richmond Center (on the village green) at 7:00 p.m. Snacks will be served. Future Leaders Meetings: March 1, April 13 and May 19th.

Leaders News
- Available to borrow: small wooden bridge for bridging ceremonies, craft supplies, activity books and more.
- Registrations. Drop off late registrations to our registrar Diane. Checks for the registration fee of $12 are made payable to “GSofCT” - contact your leader or the service team if you have questions.
- Recycle your old uniforms and troop supplies! Contact us if you have anything to pass on to a younger troop.
- Volunteers needed to help out with the Service Team, volunteer at camp, help with annual events, etc. If you or another adult from your troop is interested in helping out at the adult level, contact us!
- Holiday Parties & Events? Don’t forget to send in insurance paperwork for non-registered participants. Troop trip forms are mailed to Joyce.
- Adult trainings & workshops are available—check www.gsofct.org or your E-blasts for a wide range of opportunities. If you are having trouble receiving your E-blasts, contact your school oragnizer.
